On Sunday 5th July, around 70–80 members of the Eagley Band, Community Choir and Community Band came together for a very special occasion, a heartfelt farewell to Chris Wormald.

It was an afternoon filled with music memories and plenty of laughter… helped along by the refreshments! Carrs pasties were enjoyed by all and the cake table was a triumph thanks to Tina’s incredible chocolate celebration cake, Jane’s famous lemon drizzle and Pauline’s scrumptious carrot cakes.
We also took a moment to show our appreciation with presentations and gifts for Gwyneth, Ann and Jane, recognising the wonderful support they have given to both the Community Choir and Community Band over the years. Their dedication has made such a difference.
A special thank you was also given to John, not only for his stalwart commitment to Eagley’s bass team, but for his legendary Jenga‑like skills when packing the van for our concerts. His ability to make every instrument, stand and case fit perfectly is nothing short of magic and very much appreciated!
🎶 It was a truly lovely afternoon of celebration of the amazing friendships that have grown over so many years of community music.🎶
