Anyone who has watched a Harry Potter film, a Daniel Craig Bond film, numerous Hollywood blockbuster movies, seen Robbie Williams or The John Wilson Orchestra perform in the Royal Albert Hall will have heard legendary Trumpet player Mike Lovatt playing. He’s one of the greatest and best known lead Trumpet players in the industry.

We have booked Mike to star with us here in the Victoria Hall next October at our gala reunion concert.

Our MD Chris Wormald sealed the deal. “I was with Mike a couple of weeks ago adjudicating down at the Wychavon contests in Evesham. We chatted about the John Wilson Orchestra, Billy May, playing for Robbie Williams in the Royal Albert Hall, Eagley being 175 years old next year and all sorts. Things moved quickly to the point where we have now officially booked Mike to come up to Bolton and be the star of our gala reunion concert next Autumn. We can’t wait, booking Mike has created a real buzz and when word gets out and tickets go on sale next year, I have no doubt every brass player in the area and film fan will want to witness one if the great Trumpet players perform ‘live’ with us here in Bolton. This time last November we were playing for Vernon Kay on BBC Children In Need and now today we’ve booked the amazing Mike Lovatt. I’m absolutely thrilled we’ve got him.”
