Eagley Welcomes Home Vernon Kay For BBC Children In Need

We at Eagley Band and our MD Chris Wormald have been performing in the Bolton Wanderers Stadium this morning at the invitation of the Zoe Ball BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show for Children In Need.

We were contacted some weeks in advance and asked to have a number of pieces, fanfares and jingles arranged to precise timings for the Friday November 17th ‘live’ broadcast to welcome home local celebrity Vernon Kay from his ‘ultra ultra’ 116 mile four day marathon from Leicester to Bolton.

It was a huge honour for us all at Eagley to have been chosen to perform complete pieces ‘live’ on BBC Radio 2 and have Chris interviewed ‘live’ for over 7 million listeners and then for all of us to socialise with artists and presenters from Emeli Sande and Zoe Ball to Vernon Kay, Richie Anderson, the television Gladiator ‘Steel’ and many more.”

Vernon Kay’s four day ‘ultra ultra’ marathon raised in excess of £5 million.
